I liked that the book had cars

????? / 3.5 stars This is a second chance romance with a little enemies to lovers sprinkled in. Scarlet is a young teacher returning to the small town that broke her heart and Shane is a smokin' hot firefighter who played a role in that heartbreak. It was fun and sexy but there's lots of drama thrown in there too. Overall it was an easy and enjoyable read.

It’s an interesting story

??? / 3 stars I had been really excited to read this book with all the hype it had received. I was hoping for something to make me feel similar to how I felt with "I Want to Eat Your Pancreas" by Yoru Sumino. While it pulled at my heartstrings and had me shedding some tears, some of that emotional connection was overshadowed by grammatical errors that should have easily been caught in the editing process. If you are a person who can read beyond errors then you may love this book but for me there were just too many causing distractions; especially in a finished copy. When I am reviewing an ARC I already have in my mind that I may come across some errors that will be fixed before final approval of publication but with a finished copy I am not expecting so many blatant errors, if that makes sense. Overall I thought the storyline was interesting and was intrigued by the paranormal aspect of it, but found the writing to be a bit underdeveloped.

Such a good book! A really gripping story. Tough language for little kiddos, but once you get into it it gets easier. We all decides at the end that the Boy was telling the truth, and the Borrowers really did live in his house.
