The Borrowers
by Mary Norton

Such a good book! A really gripping story. Tough language for little kiddos, but once you get into it it gets easier. We all decides at the end that the Boy was telling the truth, and the Borrowers really did live in his house.

Lucky
by Marissa Stapley
View in Library Catalog
????? / 3.5 stars Lucky is a con artist living the only type of life she's ever known until one day a fateful set of numbers can change it all; she's just got to find a way to cash in and make it out of the grifting world alive. This was an enjoyable and entertaining read that kept me engaged with its fast pace and elements of suspense and thrill.
Mean Baby
by Selma Blair

??????? / 4.5 stars This was an absolutely fantastic audiobook and I am so glad that I had preordered a signed copy for my shelves. My first memory of Selma was in Cruel Intentions and man I loved that movie when it came out. I vaguely remember hearing of her stints in rehab(s) and then she kind of faded in to the background for me after Hellboy. It wasn't until she made public her diagnosis of MS that she was back in my thoughts once again. I had always thought she was a good actress but her strength and courage in battling this disease publicly really made my heart grow fonder. In her memoir Selma brings to light her story through humorous candor and vulnerable tenderness. It's smartly written and in my opinion, a must read (or listen).
